Section 35
<br> which may refuse to grant a license
Notwithstanding anything contained in Section 34, the National Bank may refuse to grant a license to a bank or financial institution to conduct banking and financial transactions in any of the following cases:-(a) If there is an adverse effect on the stability, fair competition and reliability of the financial system of Nepal, (b) If it is not appropriate and appropriate to grant a license to conduct financial transactions for the purpose of protecting the interests of depositors, (c) If the infrastructure for conducting banking and financial transactions is not completed, (d) If other details or conditions according to this Act are not fulfilled. (2) This If there is a situation where it is not possible to issue a license to conduct banking and financial transactions in accordance with the section, the National Bank shall inform the relevant bank or financial institution within ninety days from the date of the opening application.
